Tours: The Catherine Palace In Tsarskoye Selo

The Tsarskoye selo is a small town 29km away from St Petersburg. The compositional centre of the town is the Catherine palace. The palace was created between 1744-1796 under empresses Elizabeth and Catherine the Great. For a long time it was one of the favourite residences of the Russian Royal family. The Great Hall of the palace and the Golden Enfilade of the state rooms, which includes the Amber Room, astound visitors with the opulence of their decoration.
